Privacy Policy
Omega Labs ("the app", "we") is operated by Ethan Cooper, Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what information the app uses, especially data from your Google Account. Contact: [email protected].
What Google data the app accesses
If you choose "Sign in with Google", the app asks for these permissions, and only these:
- YouTube (read-only) —
youtube.readonly. Used to read your channel details (name, handle, subscriber and view counts) and your video list so the app can show your channel, help plan content and suggest titles. The app cannot upload, edit or delete anything on your channel. - Google Drive app data —
drive.appdata. Used to store the app's own backup and settings in a hidden folder that only this app can see. The app cannot see or open any of your other Drive files.
How the data is used and stored
- Google data is used only to provide the features you see in the app.
- Your sign-in token is stored encrypted on your own computer. Your channel data is processed on your device.
- We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, and do not use it to train AI models.
- We do not share Google user data with third parties, except where required by law.
- No person at Omega Suite reads your Google data. The app does not send it to us for human review.
Omega Labs's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Browser extension
The Omega Labs browser extension adds a panel to YouTube and YouTube Studio pages. It reads the public page you are viewing (titles, tags, view counts, thumbnails, captions and comments) in your browser to show scores and estimates. That information is processed on your device and is not sent to Omega Suite, and we do not sell it or use it for advertising.
Only when you click an AI action, the extension sends the relevant text (for example a title, a transcript excerpt or your question) to the AI provider you picked and supplied a key for in settings (Google Gemini, Groq, Pollinations, a local Ollama server or a custom endpoint). That provider's own privacy policy applies. Your key and settings are stored in your browser's extension storage and never sent to us. We do not collect browsing history, and the extension does not run on sites other than YouTube.
Sending details to YouTube Studio. If you press “Open YouTube Studio and fill it in” in the Thumbnail Lab, the title, description, tags and thumbnail you prepared are passed from the app to the extension on your own computer (through the extension, or a local-only connection to 127.0.0.1 used by the desktop app) and then typed into the YouTube Studio page you have open. They are kept on your device for up to 30 minutes so the page can pick them up, and deleted when you press Done. Nothing in this step is sent to Omega Suite, and the extension never presses Publish or Save for you.
Other information
Features such as licence checks and the community area (profiles, following other creators) use a name or handle you choose and your licence key. We use this only to run those features. Your projects, mods, maps and drafts are stored on your device unless you choose to share them.
Payments and your licence
If you subscribe, payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We receive and keep your name, email address, the status and renewal date of your subscription, and a licence key linked to them. We use this only to issue your key, keep it active while you are subscribed, email you your key, and answer support requests. We do not sell this information. Each licence key checks in with our server from time to time to see if the subscription is still active; this check carries the key's random ID and nothing else. To delete this information, cancel and email [email protected]; we keep only what the law requires us to (such as payment records).
Your choices and deleting your data
- Sign out in the app at any time; this deletes the stored token from your computer.
- Revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Delete backup data: in Google Drive go to Settings → Manage apps, find Omega Labs and choose "Delete hidden app data".
- To ask us to delete anything we hold about you, email [email protected].
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
